Women Supporting Women unites expat and Italian artisans together to fight against domestic violence. In Italy there are no national laws against domestic violence. Last year alone Artemisia, the women and children’s crisis center in Florence Italy, assisted approximately 1400 women, and their children, escape domestic violence. Artemisia has been fighting against domestic violence, and helping families to rebuild their lives, for 20 years.
On March 8th, International Women’s Day, artisans will come together for a special showing to raise funds to support the very important work that Artemisa does. With budget cutbacks Artemisia needs our support more than ever.
