Gucci opens its doors for kid-friendly workshops | The Florence Newspaper

Gucci Museum opens its doors with ‘CreaKids,’ an initiative aimed at engaging children and families with a series of interactive events until early June. The cultural center dedicated to the Gucci archive and contemporary art in Piazza della Signoria opened on February 23, inviting a new generation of art enthusiasts.

Staged on May 25 and 26, ‘The City Laboratory’ leads children through the streets, churches and palaces of Florence to discover the city’s historical ‘brands’ before encouraging kids to create a brand of their own. ‘Florario’ on June 8 and 9 takes the kids down the garden path to explore the symbolism of plants and flowers and then lets them loose to design their own scarf using the museum’s exhibits as inspiration.
