Get in on the art competition Artemisia Gentileschi that the Province of Florence reserves its young artists. “Art, singular, feminine,” thought the slogan for the campaign that part this week: three words that represent in a nutshell, the idea behind the competition Artemisia Gentileschi. The graphics are enhanced from beautiful Portrait as Allegory of Painting, oil on canvas made between 1638 and 1639 by Gentileschi, preserved at Kensington Palace in London. The competition, which opened on 8 March on the occasion of International Women’s Day, is aimed at women aged between 18 and 40 years old, living in Florence and its province. A contest that Palazzo Medici Riccardi organized to enhance the sensitivity of women in the arts and to mark another step in contrast to gender discrimination
