Ask Paolo – Dr. Paolo Molino, Psychotherapist
You may have noticed a few blog post and workshops about Dr.Paolo Molino a psychotherapist. A mom recommended him to contact me because he was interested in helping the expat community. He is a father and has lived in England, Spain, and France. He graduated in 2006 with a Master of Science in developmental psychology (acquiring his certification as a member of the association of psychologists of Lazio no.16186 and in 2011 completed the four year course in gestalt psychotherapy. He has done many seminars and workshops in Italy but also in France and Switzerland. Along with Italian, he also speaks English, French, and Spanish.
I was intrigued by this and thought it would be helpful for the moms if they have someone that can speak the English language and also knows the expat way of life. In the Fall, I met with him and we had discussed the different ways he can help the expat community, especially the Firenze Moms 4 Moms Network. One of the ways was offering group seminars, where the moms work out some of their feelings in a more controlled environment by having some helpful guidance from a therapist. I also asked him if he could do some blog posts to the moms. This is how the “ASK Paolo” Column has now come to light. Paolo was very happy to accept this challenge.
I can’t offer any specific medical advice, of course: Only your doctor knows you well enough to do that. Instead, I want to provide information that you can use to help in our everyday life experiences.
